	<span style="font-size:16px;"><u><strong>GENERAL INFORMATION</strong></u></span><br />
	(please read carefully before selecting and applying for a visa)</p>
<ul>
	<li>
		Visa regulations and procedures vary in accordance with the passport you hold and the aim of your trip. Please, <a href="http://sistemas.mre.gov.br/kitweb/datafiles/Miami/en-us/file/quadro-de-regime-de-vistos-simplificado-ingles(2).pdf" target="_blank">click here</a> to verify if you benefit from a Visa exemption to enter into Brazil in accordance with those criteria.<br />
		&nbsp;</li>
	<li>
		Holders of U.S. passports need a visa to enter into Brazil.&nbsp;<br />
		&nbsp;</li>
	<li>
		Visa applications will be received from Monday to Friday between 10 am to 12 noon only (no appointments are necessary).<br />
		&nbsp;</li>
	<li>
		If approved, the visa will be ready for pick-up from Monday to Friday between 3pm to 4pm.</li>

<p>
	<span style="font-size:14px;"><strong><u>Visas Processing time</u></strong></span></p>
<p>
	<strong>When applied in person or through an <u>immediate family member*</u>: up to 10 business days</strong></p>
<p>
	<strong>When applied by mail: up to 30 business days</strong></p>
<p>
	<strong>When applied by courier or travel agent: 45 consecutive days</strong></p>
<p>
	<span style="font-size:14px;">* In order to be considered an immediate family member, the person must present proof that he/she lives in the same household as the visa applicant.&nbsp; </span></p>
<p>
	<span style="font-size:14px;"><strong><u>Jurisdiction </u></strong></span><br />
	<br />
	The Consulate-General of Brazil in Miami issues visas only for residents in its jurisdiction Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The applicant must present proof of residence (copy of driver&#39;s license) when applying by mail or through a third party.<br />
	<br />
	If you reside out of this jurisdiction please refer to the list of <a href="http://miami.itamaraty.gov.br/en-us/jurisdiction_of_the_consulates_in_usa.xml" target="_blank">Brazilian consulates in the USA</a> to find the Consular office assigned to your area.<br />

	<span style="font-size:14px;"><u><strong>Additional information:</strong></u></span></p>
<p>
	Please note that the Consulate does not expedite or issue same day visas, unless in case of a documented medical emergency or official instructions from the Brazilian Government.</p>
<p>
	When applying for a minor, if one of the parents does not come to the Consulate in person or if application is sent by mail, parents&#39; signatures must be notarized on the application form receipt. If mother and/or father is a Brazilian citizen, he/she will not have to notarize signature but present/send original Brazilian ID document/passport to the Consulate along with other required documents.</p>

Please confirm at the Post Office with your tracking number the exact date your application was received at the Consulate.</p>
